The Fairmont Education Group

The Fairmont Education Group is family-owned and continues to be family-operated as it enters its sixth decade of business.

The original Fairmont Private School campus was founded in 1953 by public school educator, Kenneth Holt, who began offering summer school instruction to a handful of students out of his home. His focus on academic fundamentals, phonics-based language arts instruction and character development attracted the attention of local parents and ultimately grew into a full-time school program at what is now the Fairmont Private Schools - Historic Anaheim Campus in Anaheim, California.

In 1979, the family appointed second-generation family member, David Jackson as owner and leader of Fairmont. Over the next 30 years, David grew Fairmont from one to five campuses throughout North Orange County, California. This expansion included Fairmont Preparatory Academy, Fairmont's first private high school in 1993.

Today the Fairmont organization includes multiple divisions of educational services under the leadership of Chief Executive Officer, Robertson Chandler. These divisions include private education schools, international education partnerships and programs, student housing, summer programs for academics and enrichment, and blended eLearning services.
